Erin Hirsh

Rabbi Erin Hirsh is the Director of NEXT: the Professional Learning Program for Supplementary School Teachers at Gratz College. She is a partner in JEWEL (Jewish Educational Wisdom, Experience & Leadership) Consulting and directs two branches of the Jewish Community High School of Gratz College.

Rabbi Erin has worked with Reform, Conservative, Renewal, Reconstructionist and secular communities throughout North America. A graduate of Vassar College and the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Rabbi Erin has dedicated her rabbinate to ensuring that Jewish education is engaging, relevant and meaningful for everyone involved.

Rabbi Erin directed two congregational schools in the greater Philadelphia area for more than a decade. In addition to school and congregational environments, she has taught and worked in informal Jewish settings such as overnight camps and youth groups.

Most recently, Rabbi Erin served as Director of Education for the Reconstructionist Movement. In that capacity, she trained and mentored dozens of rabbis, Jewish educators, and communal leaders. Rabbi Erin also writes both formal and experiential curricula for preschool and elementary age children, teens, families and adults.
