Jack Staples-Butler is a History and Law graduate. He presented 'The History Programme with Jack Staples-Butler' on University Radio York (URY), chaired the URY coverage of the 2015 General Election and contributed as a commentator for the 2016 US Presidential Election. He is a graduate of the University of York where he studied History, including a study abroad programme at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
