Being a successful businessman himself, my father has inspired me to understand the essentials of running a successful business. I think there is an entrepreneurial streak in me just because of my father.

During my coursework at Georgian College, I had the opportunity to do my major project for the non-profit organization “She’s my Daughter”. I designed and created a strategic plan for their new campaign “WeeBeeFree,” where I accomplished tasks including gathering data (internal and external), findings/analysis of market responsiveness, and then provided recommendations for their e-commerce portal launch. Along with academics, I was also working as a part-time fulfillment associate at Walmart, assisting as a customer service representative and helping with stocking the sales floor. I have practical knowledge of several roles in the retail business like cashier, customer service representative, online order picking, and back-room management.

While perusing my Bachelor’s in Computer Applications, I worked as an administrative assistant in a print business in India. My various daily tasks included support with data entry, employee inquiries and department coordination. This motivated me to start my new venture named Andshand in 2017 which is an online portal to purchase customized clothing and merchandise. It is almost four-year work experience at Style Ad and Andshand that helped me acquire knowledge on different aspects like entrepreneurship, administrative, sales, customer experience, manufacturing, marketing planning, and implementing growth strategies, etc.

I felt that learning advanced management skills to solve complex problems as businesses grow, is a must. The reason to come to Canada was to learn real business practices that are relevant to today's competitive times.

I believe that learning by doing is the best means of imbibing diverse skills and concepts, hence this role will help me enhance my skills and at the same time allow me to make a positive contribution to the team
