My mind is always thinking. It never turns off. I am hoping this is a good forum to get some of those thoughts out there. I have found that I love to blog. It gives me the same joy and excitement that I experienced when I was in the newspaper business.

I have previously worked as a sports editor for both weekly and daily newspapers. I designed pages, took photos and covered local sporting events. I won back-to-back “Best Sports Section in Indiana” awards from the Hoosier State Press Association in 1996 and 1997 for our size newspaper. I had a column back then called "The H-Files."

Though I have a sports background, my blog may dabble in sports from time to time, but for the most part, I write about my day-to-day experiences as a divorced father approaching the Big 5-0. Not always happy or pretty, but hopefully heartfelt, entertaining, and by all means real emotion.
