Hlobisile Makaya

I'm Hlobisile Makaya, a Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, specialising in Business Studies and School Library and Information Centre. As a student teacher, I am passionate about empowering learners through education and preparing them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

My passion for teaching comes from my love for working with children and the opportunity to contribute to their growth into responsible, confident, and compassionate individuals. I believe education extends beyond the classroom;

it should equip learners with practical skills, critical thinking abilities, and values that prepare them for life.

My passion for Business Studies was inspired by my own teacher, who showed me that the subject is more than learning business concepts. It is about developing future entrepreneurs, problem-solvers, and leaders who can create opportunities for themselves and others. As a future Business Studies teacher, I hope to inspire learners not only to understand business but also to apply it in meaningful ways and recognise their potential to become innovators and business owners.

I aspire to create engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environments where every learner feels encouraged to grow academically, personally, and professionally.
