Hannah Nepil
I am a London-based classical music journalist and critic who has covered a wide range of cultural events in the UK and abroad. A music graduate of the University of Oxford, I am a contributor to various publications including the Financial Times, The Times, Gramophone, Time Out, BBC Music Magazine, Classical Music and Opera.
I am also a practising musician. I helped to found the BBC Ariel Orchestra and am involved in the running of the Oberon Symphony Orchestra.
Among the events I have reported on are an ice music festival in Geilo, Norway, an experimental opera festival in Aberdeen, Scotland, and the opening of a new violin museum and concert hall in Cremona, Italy.
Born to Czech parents, in London, I have a particular interest in the music of the Czech Republic and Eastern Europe.
