Sheila Hockman

With close to 10 years of experience in private practice, Dr. Sheila Hockman is a board certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician with a background in osteopathic medicine. A Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Hockman recently joined the staff at Alliance Medical Group, a women's health clinic located in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Along with her two colleagues, Dr. Sheila Hockman provides comprehensive gynecological care in a clinic equipped with modern medical technology and using the latest medical procedures.

In addition to routine exams and managing a patient's gynecological health, Hockman conducts high-risk pregnancies in association with Lehigh Valley Hospital. Dr. Sheila Hockman's particular professional interest is in pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.

Dr. Sheila Hockman previously practiced medicine at a private clinic, Hockman & Associates Ob/Gyn, founded in 2003 in Chapmanville, West Virginia. There she administered obstetrics and gynecological care to the underrepresented rural population in several West Virginia communities. During the final three years of the practice's operation, she worked as a Clinical Preceptor at West Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, providing professional guidance to third- and fourth-year medical students as they rotated through the obstetrics and gynecology unit. Hockman was a nominee for Preceptor of the Year in 2012.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Gwynedd-Mercy College, Dr. Sheila Hockman earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania and served as Chief Resident during the final three years of the four-year program.
