Jens Hørup

Jens Hørup is the owner and CEO of Amplex. Since 2004 he has been a contributing factor to the design, development and sales processes of the company's intelligent utility solutions. Jens Hørup has 15 years of experience in the field of industrial automation and 20 years of experience in Internet strategy and international management. Previously, Jens Hørup worked with Dator (now FKI Crisplant), Danish telco TDC and a number of Internet agencies. He holds an MA in Computer Science and a BA in Physics and Mathematics from Aarhus University.

With Amplex' long record of delivering smart grid applications for the modern utility including its global experience from worldwide projects in advanced as well as developing countries, Jens Hoerup represents the commercial aspect of the Smart Grid Network set down by the former Danish Climate and Energy Minister, Lykke Friis. The strong cooperation in the network between the electricity sector and other relevant parties such as research institutions and various interest groups creates a solid foundation for the common aim of forming policy recommendations.
