Surround yourself with love and the important people in your life; family, friends and loved ones. Do what makes you happy; travel, explore, experience and make a difference. Most importantly be you, “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”

I am a recent graduate from Brock Universities Primary/Junior Faculty of Education in 2013. Through this program I was given the amazing opportunity to travel to Ghana, Africa with seven other teacher candidates for four adventurous weeks. As cliché as it might sound those four weeks changed my life and my outlook on teaching forever. I have so much appreciation for all the opportunities I’ve been given in life, and I have so much respect for the teachers who have supported me through my journey of ongoing learning. I can only hope that one day I am able to support and guide my students with the same passion and creativity that the educators in my past have.

I enjoy traveling and hope to see the world one day, but at the same time nothing is better than home. I’m spontaneous, a little OCD at times, creative, curious and have a love for learning. As I embark on my journey of professional development as an educator, I know that this is just the beginning and there is much more to come for me in the future.
