Holly Raymond

La Habra, CA

I began my clinical training as a Lay Counselor at Christian Assembly in Los Angeles. There I worked with women of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I helped these women face marital, parenting, and legal issues as well as deeper issues of self-worth and shame. As a trainee, I worked with college students at the Vanguard University Counseling Center. There I dealt with such things as (adult) child abuse, eating and substance issues, identity and grief. My next assignment was with the Orange County Department of Education where I worked with at-risk youth in their Access program. Here I helped students face a wide range of issues including, gang affiliation, incarceration, child abuse, substance issues, self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
As an Intern and licensed therapist I worked for Turning Point Counseling, a Christian Counseling agency in the Southern California. There I broadened my client base even further, and enjoyed a stronger spiritual emphasis in my counseling work.
I am now just beginning a new phase of my journey as a therapist as a Private Practice Clinician, practicing in La Habra. I specialize in working with couples (blended families, infidelity, pre marital counseling, adolescents and adults in midlife transition. I use emotionally focused therapy and art therapy as well as an eclectic mix of what will best suit my client(s).
