Holly Mayton

Science Technology Policy Fellow in Washington D.C.

I received my Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering with a Designated Emphasis in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside (UCR) in 2018, where I researched the fate of waterborne pathogens in agricultural environments. While at UCR, I helped found the Science to Policy program, contributed to several California state advisory committees, and worked for the California Council on Science and Technology. Broadly, I'm passionate about connecting food and water science to policy and advocacy outcomes. To that end, I am currently serving as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow in the Office of Agriculture Policy at the U.S. State Department. Recently, I have served as founding co-Director of the National Science Policy Network and Coordinator for the inaugural Commonwealth of Virginia Engineering and Science Policy Fellowship.
