Past: My links with video and theatrical film distribution came in the early 1980s, with the establishment of the film company IFM, The Icelandic Film Media, the formation of Video International in 1989, and the establishment of Stöð 1 in 1990. In 1997 i founded the Icelandic Television Company (ITC), and launched Iceland’s first-free-to-air advertisement-driven channel, Skjar1, in October 1998. The station was developed to the point it was acquired in late 1999. The Channel is now owned and operated by Iceland Telecom. Then working on digital concepts in the Nordic region, and TV channel developments. In 2003 moving on to work with Industria, the system integrator on a project in Dublin, building an IPTV triple play platform company. Then establishing a work group to bring content related services to the Sony Playstation console worldwide. In 2006 i branched out with Video International, as a (mechanical) DVD distributor for selected EU markets, with the representation of library feature films for VOD & mobile download for digital platforms in selected EU and US markets. Present: Video International is an established successful DVD distribution company for the EU - DVD markets, with over 50 titles released on a yearly basis, with 3 sub labels. Video International has also seen success in building a successful content deployment in new platforms in Europe, aggregating the content needed by each individual platforms needs, specializing in low entry cost feature films for IPTV VOD. My Specialties: The experience of over 29 years in the content business, overseeing theatrical, video/dvd, television, vod, mobile, dsl content negotiation covering: Strategy, Analysis, Pricing, Research across television, broadband and IPTV platforms. Project Management, Development, Strategy, with the Launch of various content platforms in Europe.Negotiations on behalf of clients, covering: Both Content & Broadcast Channels with major industry players.
