I am an experienced Information Security professional with over 20 years of general IT experience and over 10 years experience leading Information security capabilities that include security management, IT Audit, Threat/Vulnerability management, Incident management/response and Cyber Security technology road mapping. I’ve held positions as a director of Information Security, Chief Information Security Officer, Sr. Manager and technical manager in various business verticals. I am currently working with a global renewable energy company in a strategic capacity; road-mapping security initiatives, establishing foundational controls and budget planning. Other notable recent engagements included work within the oil and gas industry providing operational security management and security awareness for 450 retail sites, 7 refineries, 2 data centers and corporate headquarter offices.

My profile includes my work experience and responsibilities within research, microchip industry, state government, higher education, oil and gas and utility. I have experience in building programs, IPS/IDS, DLP technologies, cloud security, endpoint management and safegaurding infrastructure.

I hold a Bachelors in Management of Information Systems from the University of Texas at San Antonio and hold certifications in CISSP and C|CISO.
