Applying the basic 12 steps of recovery, Homosexuals Anonymous offers help and hope to people who struggle with unwanted same sex attractions. 12 step recovery helps us to look at our character defects and make amends to those we have harmed. In this process, we become fully who we are meant to be. We become the men or women we are meant to be and no longer seek to bring a member of the same sex into our lives to complete us. HA recognizes that all of the established world religions, including but not limited to; Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Tao, Shinto, and many others; define homosexuality as a sinful and changeable behavior. HA understands that the truth taught by major world religions is an empowering message of how change is possible and how God promises to help. Homosexuals Anonymous is faith based, but non denominational and welcomes all who seek recovery from unwanted same sex attractions regardless of their faith based cultural identity.
