Honda of Burleson

Honda of Burleson, a new Honda dealership serving the Fort Worth, Texas, area, is scheduled to open in spring 2011 and will feature both new and pre-owned automobiles. The Honda brand is widely known for its fuel efficiency and represents a good choice for people who want to minimize their environmental impact. One way Honda of Burleson intends to uphold Honda’s reputation for eco-friendliness is to seek LEED certification. LEED is a nationally recognized, third-party certification program for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. This certification will indicate that Honda of Burleson’s facility is in compliance with a set of environmental development practices designed to ensure sustainable green buildings. Among several other environmental goals, Honda of Burleson plans to reduce energy expenditure by more than 17%, create a water reclamation system for the car wash, and use special, LEED-approved ground surfacing materials to reduce the heat absorbed by the building and parking lot areas at the dealership. The new Honda of Burleson dealership will have 65 employees, helping to bring jobs to the Fort Worth area. The showroom will cover 25,000 square feet with several amenities for customers, including computers available for guests, free wi-fi, and free beverages. The service area will host 32 service bays, including 3 for quick-service lube and oil changes.
