Honey Grove

Blue Diamond

Ever since my mom died, I've been able to read people. I read people, the same way I used to read books. Their thoughts are printed in my head, like words on a page. Sometimes it's fun. What would you do if you always knew what your friends and teachers were thinking? It's scary sometimes. A girl disappeared from my high school, and now I wish I hadn't read her boyfriend. Working after school in my grandmother's law office gives me all kinds of opportunities to read people. I don't always know what to do. That's why I'm writing this down. I need your help.
