Established in 2005, Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center in Marion, IN, was initiated to fulfill the increasing need for specialized autism treatment services. It aims to significantly positively impact the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families.

Hopebridge's founder, a dedicated occupational therapist, Kim Strunk, conceived the concept. While working with children in her community, Strunk observed a typical pattern among many of her patients showing signs of autism. She noticed families' struggles, often traveling extensively to secure necessary care. Realizing the need for a more streamlined approach, Strunk envisioned a solution that would bring comprehensive care closer to those in need.

Strunk developed a multi-disciplinary, evidence-based strategy grounded in the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Her innovative program deviated from traditional autism therapy frameworks of the time, primarily because ABA services were not widely recognized or covered by insurance, rendering them inaccessible to many. However, through persistence and the collective efforts of her team, Strunk was able to offer new treatment possibilities that would significantly enhance the community's access to autism care.

More than 15 years later, Hopebridge Marion, IN has expanded its reach beyond its initial location in Indiana, now serving patients across 12 states. These centers provide high-quality, dedicated ABA therapy and care, connecting thousands of families to crucial autism treatment services and becoming one of the largest networks of its kind in the United States.

Taylor Thomas is the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst at Hopebridge. She integrates her passion for art into her work with children with autism. Utilizing various art forms, including watercolor, charcoal, and music, she creates engaging therapy experiences tailored to each child's needs. Taylor's unique approach has led to significant breakthroughs, such as helping a nonverbal child communicate through a device. Her journey from studying criminal justice to finding her calling in ABA therapy showcases her dedication to making a difference in children's lives.
