Jimmy Horan

JAMES HORAN has served as musical director, conductor, pianist, and arranger in New York and New Jersey Regional theater for over three decades. His Credits include (Broadway): Meet Me In St. Louis; The Producers; (Regional): Paper mill Playhouse, Westbury Music Fair. (Cabaret venues) Laurie Beechman Theater, The Duplex, Don't Tell Mama, Rose's Turn, Stonewall, and Danny's Skylight Room. Jimmy is a staff pianist at both Marie's Crisis and The Monster, two leading piano bars in Manhattan. His vocal and instrumental/orchestral arrangements have been featured on critically acclaimed solo artist recordings, choral, show, pop and gospel concerts on both the East and West coast. Jim has served as musical director and arranger for King (Carole) For A Day, that featured leading New York City cabaret artists, and recently accompanied the New York City Gay Men's Chorus at 'R' Family vacations resort, and their annual outdoor concert ("Sing-a-thon") in Jackson Square Park. His sold out revues, "Love and Other Fairy Tales," and, most recently "In His Music," showcased his original musical theater pieces, (Chopin and Sand, Holiday, Esquires) as well as his cabaret and pop compositions. Known as Jimmy to his friends and audiences, he has received rave reviews for his hour-long one-man audience interactive shows Give My Regards, (a celebration of the golden era of Broadway,) and High Standards, (A Tribute To The Great American Songbook.) Jimmy happily brings many years of classroom and private teaching experience as a piano teacher and vocal coach for students of all ages and aspirations. He makes frequent appearances with his private coach students and others as accompanist, arranger and musical director for Cabaret and showcase performances. Finally, he has served as an accompanist in the classical and sacred genres of opera, recitals and churches in New Jersey and Manhattan.
