Dr. Horton has 32 years of experience in technology, patents, international business and finance. He began his career as a research chemist for the DuPont Company in 1984. He is the CEO of SPV Group Inc., a consulting company. SPV and its partners, completed the financing and construction of largest two utility scale project in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (13MW or 60 acreas). SPV formed a Joint venture, Tier One Solar, with Hanergy Energy, the largest privately held energy enterprise in China, and RNK Capital, LLC (one of the largest traders of environmental attributes). The company was sold in November 2014. Dr. Horton’s company, The Eco Channel has recently formed a venture with Anacostia Development Corporation in Washington DC. This partnership is building an LED factory and controls the regional EB 5 Center. Dr. Horton's water company owns the patents on using any optical device with UV light. Most new water systems are based on this technology. His companies, including Remote Light Inc. have had more than 140 issued patents. Remote Light’s technology has been featured in such places as Disney’s theme parks in Florida, California, and Japan; The New York Stock Exchange; Tiffany & Company, nineteen locations including Paris and Milan; two NFL Super Bowl half time shows; MSNBC Studio; Shanghai Doom Entertainment Center and many more. The products have won awards including Product of the Year from the largest entertainment lighting organization, Application of the Year Award and Innovator of the Year from the International Association of Lighting Designers. He has traveled to and done business in more than 35 countries 48 of the US states. He has purchased and owned companies in Australia, Malaysia and Belgium.
