Manwa has been serving as a Legal Researcher at L. W. Wang'ombe & Co. Advocates (a prestigious Kenyan law firm), Also a Volunteer at NALEAP Kenya (a Government of Kenya Programme initiated to institutionalise the provision of legal aid in Kenya.)

Additionally, he serves as a Research Assistant to Ephraim Percy Kenyanitowhile compiling the African Media Law and Digital Native Roundup. This is a publication of the Centre for Global Communication Studies in the University of Pennsylvania which explores notable events affecting, or affected by, African Internet policies and media laws periodically.

Manwa has participated in various discussions for several Internet related policy meetings.His objective is to promote the role of ICT in community development.
