Ben Hosios
Teacher in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
My teaching background is diverse, ranging from public schools to independent, tutoring to working in education programs at Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum.
I completed my teaching degree in New York State at Medaille College after a Master's Degree at the University of Toronto in Medieval History and Literature.
While I spent a great deal of time tutoring and working as an academic coach, my goal has always been to end up in the classroom.
I recently completed my first official year as a teacher, working at an independent, International Baccalaureate school in Toronto, and I am currently working for a public school board and a private school as an occasional teacher.
I have experience with students ranging from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6, as well as a wealth of experience in coaching and extra-curricular and support roles.
I have participated in a great deal of professional development focused on mathematics instruction, including attending the 2018 ISOMA Conference. This will be my second AQ course after completing a one-session program in May focusing on eLearning.
