My entire adult life has been dedicated to making life better for children and families. I worked for Family Services keeping children safe with child protective services and helping those with mental health barriers live full and satisfying lives. I worked with homeless families - helping them maintain hope while working on employment and housing. I helped families as a preventive worker and connected with children living in foster care while trying to reunite their families.

June 2013 my husband, daughter and I made the biggest change in our lives. It's had its ups and downs but by far has been the most rewarding adventure yet. Day in, day out we teach kids about structure and routines, how to get along with others, how to show and to receive respect. We show them a safe environment free from violence, drugs and their own persona they've adopted. We play, create art, learn and teach.
