Amy has always wanted to be an interior designer, so in 2008 she opened her namesake firm, A. Peltier Interiors (pronounced pel-tyey). With over a decade of design experience and an interior design degree from Michigan State University, her high-end residential interiors have spanned the globe from Shanghai, Indiana, Michigan, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina and Illinois.
Many of Amy's clients from around the country still seek her expertise as an interior designer. She has translated those long distance design experiences into her online design business, House of Peltier, where she offers custom and pre-designed virtual design services. You can also read the House of Peltier design blog where you'll find design inspiration, advice and everything in between as well as shop her handmade products on Etsy.
With the birth of her son, Amy was inspired to create a new venture, Petite Peltier, bringing her interior designer touch to nurseries and children's rooms. Through Petite Peltier, Amy combines her first-hand design experience and real life motherhood intuition to create breathtaking spaces for the little things in life. Each space is classic with a stylish edge and will grow with your child.
In addition to her many years of experience, API has been selected to participate in several interior designer showcase homes and Amy's work has been featured on thedesignfile.net, apartmentherapy.com, cupcakemag.com, as well as other blogs.
In an effort to promote the field of interior design, Amy has been an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) since 2000. She has served as the Communications Director on the board of the Indiana chapter where she was awarded the Presidential Citation Award for distinguished service to the Society and the profession.
With her feet firmly planted, Amy resides in southern California with her family. In her spare time she can be found doing exactly what she loves... designing and creating.
