Howard Olinsky

Howard Olinsky began training for his legal career at the State University of New York at Oswego, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. After taking a year off from his studies, Howard Olinsky matriculated at the Syracuse University College of Law. Shortly after graduating with his Juris Doctor in 1985, he began practicing disability law in Central New York.

Since its inception, the law practice has maintained a steadfast commitment to championing the rights of individuals with disabilities, handling cases involving long-term disability, workers’ compensation, and Social Security. Following Congressional approval, the Olinsky Law Group, LLP also became one of the first law firms in the country to initiate a Veterans Law disability Group. A leader in appellate representation, the firm attracts clients from across the country. Verdicts won by Howard Olinsky’s firm have helped to set important precedents dealing with disability matters. The Olinsky Law Group is again expanding into taking Disability Discrimination and ADA cases.

Howard Olinsky leads the firm’s legal team, which includes seven other attorneys and an extensively trained support staff. To stay current with the latest industry developments, Howard Olinsky participates in a host of leading professional organizations, including the Workers Compensation Alliance, Injured Workers Bar Association, CNY Workers Compensation Bar Association. and the National Organization of Veterans Advocates, Inc. A sustaining member of the National Organization for Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, Mr. Olinsky has attended 18 of the group’s National Conferences held at various locations across the country.

Howard Olinsky leverages his experience at all levels of the U.S. legal system, including District Courts, Appellate Courts, and the United States Supreme Court.
