I am a health inspector by day and consultant/trainer by night. I have over 15 years of education and training in public health (education and environmental health), culinary arts, and social work. I specialize in combining my keen eye for detail, knowledge of food codes and processes, and people skills to provide unique and successful solutions to current and future foodies.
I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, and I am passionate about using my experiences, education, and background to increase entrepreneurship and decrease poverty and violence. I enjoy working with urban restaurants to help them grow and compete in the restaurant industry. I believe in thinking outside the box, speaking up for those in need, and motivating people to do and be better. I started and operated a small scale Rum Cake Business to serve as an example for single parents and "second chancers", in hopes that they will know you can start where you are.
