Aman Sharma is serving as Assistant Professor (Economics) in the Department of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh (India) at Government Degree College Nerwa, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh (India). He is a management graduate (BBA) from Panjab University, Chandigarh (India). He holds an MPhil (Economics) degree along with MA (Business Economics) [Gold Medalist] and PG Diploma (Population Studies) [Gold Medalist] from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (India). Presently, he is pursuing PhD from the Department of Economics, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala (India), along with PG Diploma (Applied Statistics) from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi (India). He has also qualified the UGC-NET in the subjects of Economics and Management. He holds a teaching experience of two years as Lecturer (Economics) in the Department of Management & Humanities, National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh (India). Moreover, he has a research experience of more than three years in the fields of Rural Development, Environmental Economics, and Development Economics as a Research Assistant/Investigator. As a researcher, he was associated with the reputed institutions like Population Research Centre, Shimla (India); Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Shimla (India); National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), Hyderabad (India); and Lakehead University, Ontario (Canada). He is a visiting resource person of the Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Shimla (India). He has a book (ISBN edited) to his credit, and he has also presented six research papers in national-level conferences. His areas of expertise are Business/Managerial Economics, Agricultural Economics, and Development Economics. His areas of interest include Engineering Economics, Environmental Economics, Rural Economics, Demography/Population Economics, and Economics of Education.
