When I was a little girl, I discovered a hole in the space-time continuum. It was in the library. Books were the keys to this portal. Through a tiny, one-room library, I visited Hawaii to watch the goddess Pele’s wrath, tramped through jungles with Mowgli, learned about Tesseracts, fought on the side of talking beasts in Narnia, and was still in time for dinner every night.

As an adult, I wanted to make sure others are able to discover these magic portals as well. And that’s what I do. I help libraries utilize tools that make knowledge portals accessible to people everywhere.

Random facts about me:

- I like puzzles. I like mysteries. I like solving problems.

- Comedian Stephen Wright says “If you are not a part of the solution, you are part of the precipitate”. Scientifically speaking, I don’t care for being part of the precipitate—if I come to you with a problem, I usually have a solution in mind as well.

- I prefer even numbers to odd.

- I LOVE ideas. I have them all day, every day. What is really thrilling is executing those ideas.

- I like finding better ways to do things. Necessity may be the mother of invention, but an ability to see the big-picture helps in mapping the shortest distance between two points.
