HP Printer stopped working with windows 10

Ever since windows 10 upgrade has come, many people are facing problems with their printer to connect. Are you one of them?

If you are unable to print on your windows 10 PC, we are going to provide you some solutions to fix this issue:

You have to check that is your device is in unspecified device state. To check this, you need to follow these instructions:

a. On your Windows computer, click on the start button, go to ‘Settings’ then choose ‘Device’, In ‘Device’, choose ‘HP Printer and Scanners’ then go to ‘related settings’ and choose ‘Devices and printers’.

b. You will see a list of all devices that are connected through your computer. Now, you will need to search for your printer name in that list

c. You will need to check if the icon appears in the unspecified section.

Now, you know that your printer is in unspecified state or not, now you can easily follow these instructions and fix your problem.

1. Check that your printer is connected and switched on

a. In case of wired printer, you will need to make sure that the cable is connected to electric socket the switch is on. You will also need to check that the printer's USB cable is appropriately connected from the printer to your computer. If you're printing your documents via public printer or a printer on a network, check that all required computers and routers are switched on.

b. In case of wireless printers, you will need to check that the wireless option is on. To check that you may run the printer’s wireless connectivity test. You also can read the manual instruction that came with the printer to ensure how to do this.

2. If your printer is still not functioning, try removing and reinstalling the printer.

3. If the problem still persists, you will need to update your drivers. If you have just updated from one version of Windows to another, it's likely that the present printer driver is for the previous version of Windows that may not function well with Windows 10.
