Harriet Salem

“Harriet Salem is a freelance photographer and writer. Currently based in Belgrade, Serbia, she covers breaking news stories across the Balkans and Central and Eastern Europe. Her photographic work has been published in the British and Dutch media, and her written work features in English language publications worldwide. Recently she has worked with; Fault Magazine, The Prague Post, The Kyiv Post, Southeastern European Times, Eastbook, De Pers Newspaper, The Sun and Radio One Netherlands.

Harriet has lived and worked in; Manchester, London, Amsterdam and Kyiv. She also works in association with an international independent media resource, Kiev Collective, as a journalist and researcher. With an academic background in Criminology and Social Policy (BA) and International Politics (MA) Harriet specialises in; investigative journalism, human interest stories and critical feminist thought.”
