Listen to my music

Hi, I'm Harry and a student composer at the University of Surrey studying Creative Music Technology. I focus mainly on orchestral soundtrack music, although I love to use electronic sounds to achieve a more contemporary style. I would say I'm definitely pulled toward the creation of darker music, but also enjoy creating an upbeat piece every now and then.

Music for film and games has been my main interest and strong suit, however there are different styles that I would like to explore further in the future, especially in the direction of experimental electronic music. I own an MS-20 synth which I enjoy continuing to learn the capabilities of, and I like performing digital improvisation - using digital noises to produce live improvised pieces.

Playing the violin and performing in various orchestras has given me the experience to better understand the roles of each instrument in an orchestral score (the strings being the best section obviously...)

I have also recently been interested in photography since getting my hands on a Fujifilm X-T20 camera. I plan on using the photos and videos that I capture to inspire the music that I create in the future.

Here's an example of music and sound design that I recreated for a short film on YouTube called 'Telescope' for coursework in my second year:
