Hsiang is a co-founder and the General Counsel & Director of Operations of Riverchain, a fintech company providing innovative working capital solutions for the construction industry. By leveraging advanced technology and financial structuring, Riverchain has adeptly simplified the complexities of the construction supply chain, substantially enhancing transparency, efficiency, and liquidity for businesses within this critical industry.

Prior to joining Riverchain, Hsiang was a structured finance lawyer at Linklaters for over 10 years, where he worked in both the UK and Asian offices advising on a spectrum of transactions related to structured finance, derivatives, securitisations, and loan portfolio acquisitions. During his time at Linklaters, he was also part of the founding team of Linklaters > nakhoda (now CreateIQ), co-heading its Asia-Pacific operations and strategy to deploy cutting-edge technological solutions in the legal space. This included the development and launch of the award-winning platform, ISDA Create, an online negotiation platform for the derivatives industry to automate and streamline high volumes of sensitive and complex contractual negotiations. After leaving Linklaters, Hsiang joined SeedLegals, a legal-tech platform that automates the legal process for early-stage startups.

Hsiang was recently recognised by LexisNexis’ 40 under 40 GC List and was named one of the 30 legal tech innovators in the Asia-Pacific region to follow in 2023. Beyond his work, Hsiang is passionate about legal technology and hopes to introduce innovations into the legal industry. Hsiang is also committed to supporting entrepreneurs by sharing his 15+ years of legal and startup experience. He regularly speaks at industry events and gives training on topics of legal technology, entrepreneurship and innovation to founders, students and professionals.
