Hello I am currently a Marketing Major at The University of Massachusetts Amherst.
My Passion is Cars. Every day out on the road my eyes just wander looking at the different cars. My favorite car company is BMW. I like BMW because of their performance along side with the luxuriousness while inside the car.
My first car was my brothers 2007 Chevy Tahoe. He was off to college and did not need it. I fell in love with it as soon as he handed me the keys. All I wanted to do was clean it, maintain it and drive it. After a month of owning my first car I spent about $500 customizing it. This is when I knew that this is my passion.
My current car is a 2008 BMW 335xi, which has been my dream car ever since I got my license. I first fell in love with this car when my best friend had it and he let me drive it. I then realized why the company has a slogan of "The Ultimate Driving Machine". I loved the handling, speed, and appeal. I also couldn’t stop dreaming about what I would customize on it if I owned it.
In late June I was at a party and all my buddies loved my car and asked me if I could customize their car. I did a couple of my friend’s cars then realized that I can turn this talent of mine into a business. So early July I started my own business called Stone Cold Designs.
What Stone Cold Designs is, is a car customization company, which specializes, in exterior cosmetic work on cars. For example painting rims on a customer’s car, black or white or even green! I also learned how to tint windows because I felt as though it would be a big step toward pulling in bigger profits because the materials were cheap and I could set prices lower than my competitors.
So I started this company as a sole proprietorship because I am a very independent person and like working alone. I first realized I needed a website. Between staying up all night and tons of research I finally figured out how to make my own website. I designed it from scratch and included all the services that I had to offer. From there on I made a Facebook page, Twitter account, and also printed flyers that I handed out at my local mall.
This entire process has made me grow as a person and opened my eyes to the real world of running my own business. One day I would love to have my own shop and customize celeberties cars for a living.
