Seah Huan Yuh


A Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholar, 1st Class Hons. B(Mus) graduate from University of Birmingham (UK). Participated in Asian Youth Orchestra 10th Anniversary Tour, Kirishima Music Festival, Pan Pacific Music Festival, Frome Baroque Summer Camp. Studied with Prof. Yu Li-Na, Prof. Wolfgang Marschner, Russia's Artist Alexander Souptel, and Prof. Catherine Mackintosh, Kati Debrentzi and Walter Reiter on Baroque violin.

Performed at Birmingham's Symphony Hall playing Brahms Violin Concerto, Singapore's Esplanade Concert Hall premiering John Adams Violin Concerto (Singapore Symphony Orchestra), Penang's Dewan Sri Pinang playing Beethoven Violin Concerto (Penang State Symphony) among others.

Concertmaster of Singapore Festival Orchestra, Singapore Lyric Opera Orchestra, and Orchestra of the Music Makers. He was also Concertmaster for the musical 'The Phantom of The Opera'(AUS) in their tour in 2006 and 2013, 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'(UK), and 'West Side Story'(US).

He has also been awarded the SIngapore's National Arts Council 2013 Creative Arts Award with a grant of US$40,000 to create a audio time capsule (a series of electroacoustic recordings and compositions) to celebrate his nation's 50th Year of Independence (Jubilee Year) in 2015. This will be done as a collaboration with Belgium composer and conductor Dr. Robert Casteels.
