I’m Dr. Darnell A. Durrah Jr. (Dr. D), a proud father of Noah and Naomi and a native of Compton, California—The Hub City. My journey in education began at Verbum Dei, an all-boys Catholic college preparatory high school, and continued at Tuskegee University (BA), Alabama State University (MS), and Marquette University (PhD).

As a licensed psychologist, I take a culturally attuned and holistic approach to mental health, helping individuals navigate life’s challenges by addressing emotional distress, fostering resilience, and promoting overall well-being. My work is centered on empowering clients to restructure thoughts, beliefs, and emotional responses to lead more fulfilling lives.
