World Record Attempt

Dearest Reader,

On January 21st, 2013 (National Hug Day), my team and I will be attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for "The Most Hugs Given in 24 Hours by an Individual."

• Motive #1: To help Make a Wish Foundation enrich the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work.
• Motive #2: To uplift those around me by encouraging them to find joy in serving others on account of their time, talent, and resources.

I have three goals I hope to achieve with your help:

• Goal #1: Hug a minimum of 10,000 people on January 21st, 2013.
• Goal #2: Raise a minimum of $100,000 in sponsored hugs.
• Goal #3: Share the Make a Wish Foundation with 1,000,000 people (measured by an increase in their Facebook "Likes").
