Levern Darrell Scippio witnessed a social transformation and was greatly affected by the cultural shift brought about by the information age. Early on, he understood the importance of communication. In 4th grade, Levern was tasked to recite Martin Luther King Jr's, "I have a dream" speech. This became the most defining moment in his life. Not because of the triumph of being selected to present this amazing speech but the monumental failure of forgetting every single word in front of a full auditorium of parents, teachers, and students. Levern was paralyzed with fear. He was ashamed and never wanted to feel that way ever again. In his mind, the only way to defeat that demon was to face it over and over again. So, through the rest of his school career he joined every choir, play and performance he could become a part of.

Transitioning from school life to a professional career, Levern found the opportunity of salesmanship allowed his growth in communication to surpass the pre-written works of others and gave him a chance to have a voice of his own. Sales granted him control over the narrative. Levern became an advocate for socially constructive self-expression. He believes sharing new ideas and thoughts will bring about conversations but an action is also needed. An action that focuses on inclusion, not dissidence. Not just a movement but a revolution.

Levern has recognized his obligation to society, to expand as a trainer, coach and a developer. Helping others succeed in areas where they need guidance. He has been just that for over 10 years. Now, with the phenomenon of the internet, the ability to interact with people whom he may never see in person gives him a tremendous opportunity to make a positive effect on the world. What he once did face to face can take place anytime, anywhere. Being a student of existence and a teacher of finding one's true self, Levern enjoys encouraging and enabling others to reveal themselves when who they really are may not be clear and apparent to the rest of us. Because, what people see, hear and feel are only solidified through what you show them. But first, listen. Listening is the foundation of learning.

Hugh Mann Development supports that learning process. A needed change in perception. All we are to others is what we show them we are. Hugh Mann Development is about teaching how to control the narrative and Levern wants to not just witness the next great social transformation, he wants the honor of ushering it in.
