I grew up on sports. At any age in my life I’ve been involved in something competitive from things like basketball and baseball to even chess. It wasn’t until my sophomore year in high school where I began to play the sport I am now addicted to or even to an extent, in love with. Football is America’s sport and is also one of the most entertaining and exciting sports to not only watch, but to play as well. There is nothing like the adrenaline you get from strapping on your pads before game day and getting ready to run out in front of hundreds or even thousands of screaming fans.
Football has not only been a sport to me, it has been a lifestyle that I lived ever since I signed up to play. It has provided me with trials and tribulations as well as life lessons I continue to stand by this day. Work ethic, humility, teamwork, leadership, and resiliency are some of the key attributes I’ve derived from this great sport. As I finished my high school career I intended to continue playing football in college. I had offers from multiple schools, however I wanted to not only challenge myself academically, but athletically as well by trying to walk on to the UGA Football team. In conclusion my journey is far from over as I continue to love and adore the sport that was my love at first sight.
