Craig Hughson

Born and raised on Manitoulin Island, Craig Hughson is a proud northerner, father, and small businessman.

More than a dozen years at Queen's Park gave Craig a first-hand view of government and politics from many angles. He has worked for an opposition MPP, and government ministers. Craig served as the chief of staff and senior policy advisor to several cabinet ministers in the Government of Ontario, including Natural Resources, Aboriginal Affairs, Health Promotion, Government Services and Consumer Services.

Craig also served as a vice president for one of the world's largest public relations firms and was also the director of public affairs at a national association executing government relations programs across Canada. Currently he is founding partner in a government and public relations firm.

Craig's passions include hunting and fishing as well as spending time at the family camp in Echo Bay.

Craig is a graduate of Manitoulin Secondary School and Canadore College and has diplomas in small business management and small business administration. He has two children, Jacob and Emily and volunteers his time as a minor league hockey coach and referee.
