Hugo Pinto de Abreu

I am currently a Seconded National Expert at the European Commission — Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture — Unit B.1 Higher Education.

Between February 2020 and April 2024, I was Head of Governance Support at the University of Porto. Between December 2015 and January 2020, I served as a graduate staff member within the same service.

I hold Bachelor's degrees in Economics (Nova School of Business and Economics) and in Law (University of Minho), and a Master's degree in Finance and Taxation (University of Porto). I also hold a Postgraduate Specialization in Finance (Doctoral Programme course, non-degree awarding, University of Porto).
