Born in France, Hugues Ricour has extensive experience in producing successful video games developed in Europe, Canada, and Asia, such as NEED FOR SPEED & FIFA for Electronic Arts and ASSASSIN'S CREED for Ubisoft. Hugues Ricour played a key role in transitioning video games from physical media to online services through digital platforms at EA and Ubisoft. H. Ricour is also a consultant in several areas, including digital transformation, gamification, and innovation management.
Hugues Ricour began his career in the gaming industry in 1999 at Infogrames / Atari as a producer for racing games. He then joined the Electronic Arts Black Box studio as an Associate Producer on NFS Underground and NFS Most Wanted. After that, he joined EA Sports and the FIFA team to produce FIFA 06 and FIFA 07. He also produced and launched FIFA Online 1 and 2 in Asia, the first Free To Play PC game from EA Sports, in partnership with the Korean developer Neowiz.
In 2009, Hugues Ricour joined Ubisoft Singapore to oversee the development of Ghost Recon Online, a Free To Play game on PC, before getting involved in the Assassin's Creed project. He later became Production Director and coordinated the teams from Ubisoft Singapore, Ubisoft Chengdu, and Ubisoft Philippines studios to develop the famous Assassin's Creed game series in collaboration with the Canadian studios Montreal and Quebec.
In 2018, Hugues Ricour was appointed Managing Director of Ubisoft Singapore and Ubisoft Philippines studios. In 2021, he took on a cross-functional role at Ubisoft's headquarters as Director of Production Intelligence.
