Humber College & Toronto Marlies Fundraising Project

Oh hi friends!

As some of you may know, I am currently enrolled in the Marketing Management post-grad program at Humber College. As part of an assignment for my Professional Selling class, I have been tasked with selling tickets to Toronto Marlies games.

The tickets are $25 each (originally a $35 value - WHAT a steal) and $5 of your ticket sale will go directly to Camp Oochigeas. For those of you unfamiliar with Camp Ooch, it is an incredible, privately funded, volunteer based organization providing kids with cancer and/or kids affected by childhood cancer with the opportunity to experience the magic of camp.

"Oh, that sounds super rad Al! What dates are the tickets for?"

Fear not, there are THREE different dates you can see the Marlies play!

"Al, what if I can't make any of those dates, but I still want to contribute? Can I donate my ticket to Camp Ooch instead? What if I want to donate directly to the camp?"

Those are excellent questions!

If you would like to buy a $25 ticket, and donate it back to Camp Ooch so that a camper can attend the game instead, that is A-Okay!

If you wish to donate directly to the camp (any sum, big or small) that is also an excellent option!

"Al, I've never been to a Marlies game, why would I go?"

GREAT question!

I can think of no greater way to spend an afternoon, than hanging out with friends, family and/or coworkers, enjoying the good ol' hockey game while supporting both a local team and an amazing charity!

The Toronto Marlies are a Canadian professional ice hockey team currently playing in the American Hockey League (AHL). The Marlies play at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto and they are the only AHL team that currently plays in the same city as its NHL affiliate. Wowza!
