I am an SBC Communication specialist with over three decades of experience with communities and governments in Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia. I have worked in areas as diverse as HIV, deaf vulnerability, safe abortion, child labour and preventing domestic violence.

I'm better known as an author, journalist and mentor to aspiring writers — and cook. My first novel, The Book of Answers, was nominated for the 2012 Commonwealth Book Prize for Best Fiction.

I have just finished writing The Bells of Casiopia, a magical tale about a tribe of 30 Syrian war orphans hiding in a cave in Goa.
