Hunter Atkins, M.D.

Dr. Hunter Atkins is a dedicated internal medicine physician serving the Midland, Texas community, widely recognized for his patient-centered approach and commitment to clinical excellence. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2015 and completed his internal medicine residency there from 2015 to 2018. Licensed in Texas, Dr. Atkins is affiliated with University Medical Center, where he provides care for both inpatients and outpatients. In 2025, he announced the expansion of his practice to Houston, Texas.

At his flagship clinic, Santa Rosa Internal Medicine, Dr. Atkins and his team provide comprehensive primary care services, including annual wellness exams, preventive screenings, chronic disease management, and acute care. He also sees patients at a secondary location under the Midland Medicine network to enhance access to care throughout the region.

Fluent in English, Arabic, and Spanish, Dr. Atkins welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds and accepts a broad range of insurance plans, including Medicare and Aetna-based networks.
