Hello! Thanks for visiting.
I am Principal and Co-owner of the Hurley Martin Group, a public relations, philanthropy, and strategic planning consulting partnership based on Gabriola Island, on the unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw peoples near Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.
My interests range from strategic communications and change management, economic and social development, government and public affairs, fundraising for education and not-for-profit organizations, and coaching and mentoring others.
I am currently Head of Government Relations for Navitas in Canada and serve on the boards of several organizations including the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 in Halifax, the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance and the Quadra Education Foundation. I have an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Canadian Public Relations Society and am a member of the Public Affairs Association of Canada, the Gabriola Arts Council, and the Gabriola Chamber of Commerce.
Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, I am Red River Metis, and grateful to live, work, and play on the unceded territories of the Snuneymuxw and Coast Salish peoples.
