Hurmi Nomberg

Honing her skills as a Design and Product Development Consultant, Hurmi Nomberg travels to numerous exotic places where she gains inspiration for new designs. In recent years, Ms. Nomberg has developed her own seasonal sportswear collection that includes dresses and knits drawing on her extensive knowledge of fabrics and the fashion market. A cum laude graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Hurmi Nomberg spent a number of years working as a Senior Designer for Kazu in New York, a Division of Lana Fashionwear, Inc.

Through previous employment with New York’s Lilly Pulitzer fashions, Hurmi Nomberg spent up to six weeks at a time providing product development management of key items guaranteeing only superior quality products reached market. Her travels with Lilly Pulitzer took her to the Chinese cities of Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. She traveled to Vietnam, Peru, and New Delhi meeting with potential vendors and visiting factories to conduct final product inspections.

In addition to learning from her travels, Ms. Nomberg has taken advantage of opportunities to attend professional forums and events. In New York, she attended the WWD Global Sourcing & Global Markets Forum. She also attended the 2012 Textile and Sourcing Show in New York City and the 2012 Sri Lanka Expo. The events allowed her to make personal contact with an array of manufacturers from around the world and to gain valuable knowledge about the fashion industry.
