Hurya Ahmed is pursuing her Juris Doctor at Harvard Law School. After gaining experience in civil rights advocacy, public defense, and knowledge research, she has steeped herself in academic life at Harvard. Obtaining competitive positions as a Teaching Fellow and Research Assistant for renowned professors, she continues to pursue academic rigor and satisfy her intellectual curiosity through active campus involvements.

In applying her classroom skills, Hurya serves the local community through the Harvard Transactional Law Clinics, Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project, and the Prison Legal Assistance Program.

After law school, Hurya intends to work at a law firm to develop her skills as a practicing attorney. Her work at a federal agency earned her the Heyman Fellowship for Public Service in Federal Government.
