Hussein Altameemi
electrical engineer and Photographer in Dearborn
With hard work I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Baghdad, I moved to the United States shortly after. I spent the first three years adjusting with my family to the new life. I never thought that one day that I would get a chance to have a sit down with a Ford supervisor, one of the top automotive industry, for a job opportunity.
Here I am, three years later still with ford as one of the youngest design and release engineers. But now the time has come to take on bigger challenges.
In my little world, I learned that no matter how tight the odds might seem, there’s always a way to make things work. One of my best friends, that I met here, has said repeatedly “There’s 24 hours in a day, and if you tell me you don’t have time to do something, you’re lying to yourself”.
His words inspired me to never stop chasing my dreams. Although Ford was and still is my passion and ultimate goal, I decided to continue my education to pursue a second degree in Mechanical Engineering at Wayne State University, Start my side business as a photographer and dedicate all the remaining time to my beautiful fiancée and my family.
