I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (1991-1997) and a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (1979-1984). My hobbies are reading, photography, and chess.

My first venture was back in 1986 when I co-founded GloboNet, the first ISP in Louisiana (USA): IBC, CR #34329839D.

During the past 40+ years, I was instrumental in the US and the Middle East.

In 1984, I built the first FDDI high speed network at Southern University and administered BitNet (email service).

Back in 1986, I worked with a distinguished group of professors from Cornell University, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, Iowa State University, and Southern University to build the first Engineering Multimedia Courseware Distributed System (The Synthesis Coalition).

In early 2016, I introduced Blockchain solutions in Saudi Arabia and built the first Blockchain company. I pitched digital transformation solutions to ministers, central banks, and companies in Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. (https://yaghi.net/blockchain/)

Around 2014, I coached my teenage boys into entrepreneurship at age 13 & 14. They have built three companies – Chillax, AidMaid, and BlocMint, pitched and presented at regional conferences, and became stars in the region (www.aidmaid.net/gallery.html). They also created a crypto investment fund. They have appeared in Arabian Business, Forbes, Endeavour, Wamda, and BBC. They coached other teens as well. Yes, I’m a proud father.

My daughter, at age 10, created "Smiles Foundation" to bring some joy to less fortunate kids. (http://smiles.aidmaid.net)
