Hyatt Hasegawa Bailey
Data Scientist and Activist/Organizer in Brooklyn, New York
Hey, I’m Hyatt. I'm a passionate organizer of people and an impact-driven data scientist.
After studying political science at Yale, I spent four years learning the ins and outs of e-commerce, from merchandising and planning to operations and analytics. I was drawn to data science by the desire to take my models and analyses a step (or leap!) further: to estimate the different effects of variables on an outcome; to qualify predictions with statistically-based confidence intervals; to generally deepen understanding of measurable phenomena in the world and share that knowledge with those around him.
As an organizer and activist, Hyatt explores the underlying mechanisms that drive the social, economic, and political systems we inhabit and shares insights in hopes of making the world a more just place for all people.
