Courtney Hyde

I am Courtney Hyde, the youngest daughter of Cynthia and David Hyde. I was born on December 12, 1988 in Cincinatti, Ohio. When I turned five, I moved to Cary, North Carolina with my parents and my older sister, Lindsey, and two older brothers, Jon and Josh. Growing up in Cary was lots of fun. I got to hang out with my family and my friends in the local hot spots, like the movies or the bowling alley. My dad managed at a GE plant while my mother worked as a kindergarten teacher in a local Wake County school. When I had any off time from school, I would make sure to go into my mom's school and watch her work with her students. After seeing how passionate my mom was about teaching and watching how much my mother's students loved her, I realized I wanted to go into Elementary Education too. I have lived in Greenville, North Carolina for a few years now and have loved every minute of being a pirate! I plan on graduating this December and cannot wait to begin my own teaching journey! As of now, I plan on moving back to Cary and will be applying for a teaching position in a Wake County school. Though I am used to kindergarten classrooms or fourth grade classrooms, I will be more than happy to teach any grade level!
